Rental terms and conditions
Lease duration and calculation
For all rented equipment, the lease is calculated from the day the rented equipment leaves our location up to and including the day it is returned to us. Termination can only be made with at least 1 day’s notice. The daily rent is calculated for the entire rental period, regardless of whether the rented equipment is used or not.
The daily rent is calculated for an 8-hour working day. For additional use, this is agreed.
Payment is made before delivery.
Delivery and transportation of the rented product
The trailer is delivered in an operational and sound condition. Any complaints must be made upon receipt and cannot be accepted later. Any transportation costs are paid by the lessee.
Operating costs
The tenant is responsible for any operating costs during the rental period. E.g. extra lubrication, additional electricity etc.
Maintenance and return
The rented equipment is returned clean and in the same condition as when it was received. After the equipment has been returned to our location, an inspection will take place. Any repairs and cleaning will be charged to the lessee.
Any damage due to overloading, incorrect handling or similar will be paid by the lessee + the normal daily rental fee for the facility per “lying day”.
The lessee may not make, or allow others to make, repairs or changes without our consent.
Risk and liability
The equipment must be duly insured by the lessee. As long as the equipment has not been picked up by the lessor or delivered to our premises, the lessee shall bear all risk and liability for the rented equipment and its operation. The lessee is obliged to take out insurance with the lessor for the entire rental period, unless the lessee documents that he has insurance covering the rented equipment and that the premium has been paid.
The premium is 6.75% of the list price applicable from time to time – the premium is added to the rental price.
- The premium covers fire, theft and vandalism of the equipment.
- Any damage that is not fully covered by the insurance shall be paid/replaced by the lessee.
- Any damage must be reported immediately to the landlord. Vandalism, theft or other crime must also be reported to the police with information that the report is sent to Shop2Go within 48 hours.
- In insurance cases regarding fire and theft, the tenant is only liable for an excess of DKK 10,000 per unit.
- When returning a damaged trailer, the rental continues until the equipment is repaired and ready for rental.
- The lessee also bears the risk of damage to access roads, surface coatings, underground installations and similar. Such damage is not covered by the insurance taken out with the lessor.
- Payment of compensation from the insurer must be made exclusively to Shop2Go.
- Regarding liability for the dangerous properties of the rented product, reference is made to the Product Liability Act in force from time to time.
